Burger Boat - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
    1/4 c. chopped green pepper
    1/4 c. chopped green onions
    1 (10 3/4 oz.) can condensed cream of mushroom soup (undiluted)
    1 c. water
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/4 tsp. garlic powder
    1 (16 oz.) loaf French bread
    1/2 c. (4 oz.) shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Brown ground beef, green pepper and onions in a large nonstick skillet, stirring until beef crumbles.
    Drain and return mixture to skillet.
    Add soup and next 4 ingredients.
    Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring constantly.
    Reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    Set aside.
