Ingredients

2/3 c. crisco
1 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
Tbsp. water
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. flour
1/3 c. unsweetened cocoa
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. (12 oz. pkg.) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preparation

Beat first four ingredients at medium speed until creamed. Add eggs.
Combine the next ingredients, then mix into creamed mixture.
Drop by tablespoon 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheet.
One baking sheet at a time, bake 7 to 9 minutes until cookies are set.
Cookies will appear soft and moist.
Do not overbake!
Cool on baking sheet 2 minutes.
Place sheets of foil on countertop.
Remove cookies on foil to cool completely.
Yields about 3 dozen cookies.
Bake at 375\u00b0.
