Potato Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium potatoes, peeled and grated or 36 oz. shredded hash browns, thawed
    1/2 c. butter
    1/2 c. chopped green onions
    1/2 c. cream of chicken soup
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 pt. (2 c.) sour cream
    1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    1/2 c. cornflake crumbs
    2 Tbsp. butter, melted
Preparation
    Melt 1/2 cup butter and saute green onions.
    Add soup, salt, sour cream and cheese.
    Using 3-quart Pyrex pan, layer potatoes in pan evenly.
    Gently stir in sauteed mixture.
    Melt 2 tablespoons butter and mix in cornflake crumbs.
    Pour over top of casserole and bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Serves 8 to 10.
