Rich Brown Steak Dinner - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. round steak, cut into 1-inch wide slices
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
flour
6 medium onions, sliced
1/4 c. shortening
1 bay leaf
3 large potatoes, peeled and halved
1 can condensed tomato soup
1 pkg. frozen French-cut green beans
Preparation

Season meat with salt and pepper; roll in flour.
Cook onions in hot shortening until tender, but not brown.
Remove onions and brown meat slowly on both sides.
Place meat in a 3-quart casserole.
Add onions, potatoes and bay leaf.
Pour soup on top. Cover and bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour and 45 minutes.
Add frozen green beans and bake 15 minutes more.
