Vegetable Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    2 bay leaves
    6 c. water
    2 large carrots, cut up
    4 stalks celery, cut in half
    4 or 6 beef bouillon cubes
    2 small onions, chopped
    2 c. canned tomatoes
    1/2 c. rice, barley or potatoes
    1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Brown meat in saucepan.
    Add bay leaves and water; cover and heat water until it boils.
    Turn the heat to low and cook 20 to 30 minutes.
    Add the rest of the ingredients; cover and heat until soup comes to a boil.
    Turn the heat to low and cook about 20 minutes or until the vegetables and rice are tender.
