Caramel - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    2 c. light corn syrup
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 stick butter
    2 c. evaporated milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    In a medium saucepan mix sugar and light corn syrup.
    Boil over low to medium heat until medium ball stage.
    Add rest of ingredients and boil until firm ball stage.
    Pour into a greased square pan.
    Cut into squares when cool with a greased knife.
