Roast Beef - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 lb. eye of round
    3 Tbsp. vinegar
    paprika
    1 onion, sliced
    salt & pepper
    garlic salt
    2 c. boiling water (or 3 c. for extra au jus)
Preparation
    Rub beef with vinegar.
    Sprinkle with salt, pepper, garlic salt and paprika.
    Brown in roaster (uncovered) at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
    Add water and cover meat with onion.
    Lower oven to 300 degrees, cover and bake another 4-5 hours.
    For a smaller roast, cook about 2 1/2 hours to 3 hours (approximately 1 hour per pound).
    Cool and thinly slice, then reheat in juice.
