Apple Cinnamon Puffs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 to 5 (1 1/2 lb.) apples
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. water
    red food coloring (optional)
    2 c. Bisquick
    2/3 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. melted butter
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Boil to a syrup the sugar, water and food coloring.
    Peel and slice apples.
    Place in a greased shallow 8 x 12-inch baking dish. Pour syrup over apples.
