Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. Crisco
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs, beaten
2 Tbsp. cocoa
2 oz. red food coloring
1 c. buttermilk
2 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vinegar
1 tsp. baking powder
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar until creamy.
Add eggs and beat. Make paste of cocoa and food coloring.
Add to creamed mixture, alternating with buttermilk and flour.
Add salt and vanilla.
Mix soda and vinegar together.
Add to mixture.
Do not beat.
Just fold in gently.
Bake in 3 (8-inch) cake pans at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
