Creamed Turnips - cooking recipe
Ingredients

turnips
salted water
butter or margarine
1 Tbsp. flour
pinch of salt or to taste
pinch of black pepper or to taste
milk or cream
1 Tbsp. sugar (optional)
Preparation

Peel turnips and cook in salted water until tender; drain. Add lump of butter or margarine, flour, salt and black pepper. Then add a little milk or cream and cook until liquid thickens. Serve hot.
(Sugar may be added for sweetness.)
