Garden Fresh Macaroni Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

8 oz. pkg. elbow macaroni
1 pkg. frozen mixed vegetables (not stew vegetables)
1 c. diced Velveeta cheese
1 c. mayonnaise (Miracle Whip if desired)
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. onion powder
1/2 tsp. pepper
lettuce leaves (optional)
Preparation

Cook macaroni in salted water (2 quarts water plus 1 tablespoon salt) until tender yet firm, about 8 minutes.
Rinse in cold water in colander to cool.
Drain well. Cook vegetables according to package directions.
Drain and rinse in cold water to cool.
Drain well.
Gently but thoroughly mix together macaroni, vegetables, cheese, mayonnaise and seasonings.
Chill and serve on lettuce leaves if desired.
Makes a large bowl.
