Chinese Pepper Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 flank steak (1 1/4 lb.)
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/2 tsp. sugar
    1/4 tsp. ginger
    1/4 c. soy sauce
    3 medium green peppers
    3 small tomatoes
    2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1/4 c. water
Preparation
    Slice steak into very thin strips diagonally.
    Combine cornstarch, sugar and ginger; stir in soy sauce.
    Pour mixture over meat; stir.
    Cut peppers into thin strips and tomatoes into wedges.
    Quickly brown meat, one third at a time, in hot oil; remove from pan.
    Reduce heat; add peppers, garlic and water to pan and cook until peppers are tender-crisp, 5 to 6 minutes.
    Stir in meat and tomatoes; heat through.
    Makes 4 servings.
