Fry Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg
    1/2 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. Crisco, melted
    1/2 c. milk
    2 c. sifted flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation
    Cream egg, sugar and Crisco well; add milk and sifted flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg.
    Roll 1/2-inch thick.
    Cut with cutter and cook 3 to 5 minutes in hot Crisco.
