Peach Fritters - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 beaten egg
    1/4 c. milk
    2 1/2 Tbsp. melted butter
    1/3 c. fresh peaches, finely chopped
    powdered sugar
Preparation
    Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt.
    Stir in beaten egg, milk and melted butter.
    Stir only until mixed.
    Fold in peaches.
    Drop by small teaspoons into hot Crisco oil and deep fry for about 2 minutes until nicely browned and crisp.
    Drain on a brown paper sack and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
    Serve hot.
    Makes 3 dozen.
