Italian Coconut Cream Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    5 egg yolks
    1 stick margarine
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 c. coconut
    1/2 c. pecans, chopped
    1 tsp. vanilla
    5 egg whites, beaten
Preparation
    Cream together sugar, egg yolks, margarine, and shortening. Add flour, baking soda, buttermilk, coconut, pecans, and vanilla. Fold in beaten egg whites.
    Bake in 3 greased and floured 8-inch round cake pans at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
