Chicken Cacciatore - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 large chicken breasts
    1/4 c. oil
    2 medium onions, cut in 1/4-inch slices
    2 cloves garlic, crushed or 1/2 tsp. instant minced garlic
    1 large can tomatoes
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. oregano
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/2 tsp. celery seed or flakes
    1 or 2 bay leaves
Preparation
    Cook chicken breasts.
    Remove bones and cut up; set aside. In oil, cook onions (cut in 1/4-inch slices) and garlic.
    Cook until tender but not brown.
    Stir in chicken.
    Combine tomatoes, tomato sauce, salt, oregano, pepper, celery seed or flakes and bay leaves.
    Pour mixture over chicken.
    Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
    Cook uncovered 15 minutes longer.
    Stir occasionally. Remove bay leaves.
    Skim off excess fat.
    Serve over noodles or spaghetti.
