Yellow Squash Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 c. squash (run yellow squash through Salad Master)
    2 c. onion
    2 Tbsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. vinegar
    2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1 tsp. mustard seed
    1 tsp. turmeric
Preparation
    Combine the first 3 ingredients and let stand for 1 hour. Drain, rinse well with cold water and drain well.
    To this mixture, add the next 5 ingredients.
    Heat to boiling, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring frequently.
    Pack in jars and seal.
    A very good sweet relish to use on hot dogs or sandwiches.
