Yellow Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. self-rising flour
    1 2/3 c. sugar
    3/4 c. milk
    2/3 c. Crisco shortening
    3 eggs
    1/2 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, 3/4 cup milk and Crisco shortening.
    Beat vigorously by hand or at medium speed with a mixer for 2 minutes.
    Add eggs, 1/2 cup milk and vanilla. Beat 2 minutes more.
    Pour batter into 2 greased and floured 9-inch round cake pans.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
