Seven Layer Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head shredded lettuce
    1 c. celery, chopped fine
    1 white onion, chopped (small)
    1 green pepper, chopped
    1 can LeSueur English peas, drained
    1 pt. Hellmann's mayonnaise
    2 tsp. sugar
    1 c. Parmesan cheese
    few strips bacon
Preparation
    Start with lettuce and layer in a large casserole dish or bowl.
    After the lettuce, layer the celery, onion, green pepper, peas and mayonnaise.
    Sprinkle the sugar over that and cover with the cheese.
    Fry the bacon and crumble it over the top.
    Cover the bowl tightly and let it set in the refrigerator for a few hours before serving for the best flavor.
