Scalloped Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 slices bread
    1 lb. fresh tomatoes, cut up
    1 small onion, finely chopped
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/4 cup margarine, melted
    1 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    Toast bread and cut in squares, like croutons.
    Mix remaining ingredients.
    Starting with toast, alternate layers in a casserole dish.
    Bake at 375 degrees for 20 - 30 minutes.
