Pear Kuchen - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 pear halves
    1/2 c. margarine
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 egg yolk
    1/4 c. brown sugar
    1/4 c. slivered almonds
    1/2 c. sour cream
Preparation
    Drain pears.
    Cream margarine and sugar.
    Add sifted flour, baking powder and salt.
    Press into 8 to 9-inch pan or pie plate. Arrange pears, cut side down.
    Bake 15 minutes at 375\u00b0.
    Beat egg yolk, brown sugar and cream.
    Pour over pears.
    Sprinkle with almonds.
    Bake 30 to 35 minutes longer till browned.
