Mama'S Beef Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large pkg. stew meat
    carrots
    potatoes
    onion
    flour
    oil
    1 large can tomatoes
    1/2 c. water
Preparation
    Flour stew meat.
    In a skillet, heat 2 to 3 tablespoons oil; brown stew meat.
    Transfer to a boiler.
    Add 1 large can chopped tomatoes, chopped onion and 1/2 cup water.
    Let simmer slowly. Chop carrots and potatoes.
    Add after stew has simmered 45 minutes.
    Then simmer 45 minutes more.
    Add salt and pepper to taste.
