Asparagus Casserole - cooking recipe

3/4 pkg. crackers
1 small can green asparagus spears, drained (save liquid)
1 1/2 c. grated cheese
4 Tbsp. butter
3 Tbsp. flour
1 1/2 c. milk and asparagus liquid combined
Preparation

Crumble crackers and mix with asparagus spears and grated cheese in small baking dish. Make medium white sauce: Melt 3 Tbsp. butter add 3 tablespoons flour and mix until smooth. Add 1 1/2 cups liquid. Stir until a medium thickness. Pour white sauce over mixture in baking dish. Mix well. Cover top with cracker crumbs, grated cheese and butter. Bake at 375\u00b0 in a preheated oven until golden brown.
