Smothered Pork Chops - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 to 4 pork chops
    1 Tbsp. oil
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 tsp. parsley, chopped
    1/8 tsp. thyme
    1 bay leaf
    salt and pepper to taste
    extra flour for covering meat
Preparation
    Season meat with salt and pepper.
    Lightly flour meat.
    Fry meat in oil until golden brown on both sides.
    Remove from pan. Add onions and garlic to pan and brown.
    Stir in 1 teaspoon of flour and brown.
    Put pork chops back in pan.
    Add water to cover.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Simmer uncovered for 30 to 40 minutes or until meat is tender.
