Punch Bowl Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box yellow cake mix, prepared and baked
    1 large and 1 small box vanilla instant pudding, prepared according to directions on box
    1 large can crushed pineapple, drained
    2 cans cherry pie filling
    2 (9 oz.) containers Cool Whip
    pecans or walnuts
Preparation
    Break 1/2 of cake in pieces and place in punch bowl.
    Layer 1/2 pudding, 1/2 pineapple, 1 can cherry pie filling and 1 container of Cool Whip.
    Add layer of nuts (coconut may also be added).
    Repeat all layers again.
    Garnish with nuts and cherries.
