Sweet Potato Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick butter
    3/4 c. packed light brown sugar
    1 c. cooked, mashed sweet potatoes
    3 eggs, separated
    3/4 c. milk
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. freshly grated nutmeg
    1/4 tsp. ground cloves
    1/4 c. bourbon
    1 partially baked (9-inch) pie crust
Preparation
    Cream the butter and brown sugar until light, then add mashed sweet potatoes, mixing well.
    Beat egg yolks with milk and stir in salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and bourbon.
    In a separate bowl, beat egg whites until frothy; add about 1/4 of the beaten whites to the potato mixture, mixing well.
    Gently, but thoroughly, fold in remaining whites.
    Pour into partially baked pie crust and bake on center rack of oven until golden brown in a preheated 375\u00b0 oven, about 40 to 45 minutes.
    Cool completely before slicing.
