Cherry Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sour cherries
    3 Tbsp. shortening
    3 c. sugar
    3 tsp. baking powder
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 c milk
    3 c. flour
Preparation
    Drain cherries, keeping 1 cup juice.
    Cream shortening with 1 cup sugar, beat in eggs.
    Add milk with flour and baking powder. Beat until smooth.
    Pour into greased cake pan.
    Mix cherries with remaining sugar and cherry juice.
    Heat and pour over batter. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
    Eat with whipped cream or milk.
