Granddaddy'S Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 slices bacon
    2 c. diced onion
    2 c. diced celery
    1 green pepper, diced
    3/4 pod garlic
    2 lb. coarse ground beef
    2 large cans tomatoes
    2 large cans kidney beans
    4 Tbsp. chili powder
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1 tsp. sugar
    2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1 tsp. black pepper
Preparation
    Cook bacon and lay on paper towel to drain.
    Add onion, celery, pepper and garlic to bacon grease.
    Just before it browns, add the ground beef.
    Turn up heat to brown meat, stirring to keep from burning it.
    After meat browns, add tomatoes, kidney beans, chili powder, salt, sugar and Worcestershire sauce.
    Bring to a boil.
    Cut down heat to barely bubbling and cook a long time (3 to 6 hours).
    Stir occasionally.
    Break up bacon and put in chili; add black pepper.
