1 1/4 c. unsifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter or margarine
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 1/3 c. flaked coconut
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Mix flour, baking soda and salt.
In a separate bowl, cream the butter and add sugars gradually, beating thoroughly. Add the egg.
Stir in the flour mixture until well blended.
Add the coconut and vanilla; mix well. Drop from teaspoons onto an ungreased cookie sheet, about 3-inches apart. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
