Ingredients

1 c. sugar
3/4 c. flour
1/3 c. shortening
2 eggs
1/2 c. chopped nuts
2 sq. unsweetened chocolate (2 oz.)
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

Preparation

Heat oven to 350\u00b0. Grease an 8-inch square pan.
Melt chocolate and shortening together.
Remove from heat. Beat in 1 cup sugar and 2 eggs.
