Royal Philadelphia Cinnamon Buns - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. sifted plain flour
    4 Tbsp. shortening (8 for a shorter biscuit)
    8 level tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. milk
    1 egg
    cinnamon, brown sugar and raisins
    6 Tbsp. butter
    6 Tbsp. brown sugar
Preparation
    Sift flour, salt and baking powder together.
    To this cut in the shortening.
    To this add milk and egg mixture.
    Stir until makes a soft dough.
    Roll out very thin.
    Spread softened butter over dough.
    Sprinkle with brown sugar, raisins and cinnamon. Begin at edge nearest you and roll up like you would a jelly roll. Cream 6 tablespoons butter and 6 tablespoons brown sugar and spread thickly on bottom and sides of baking pan or skillet.
    With sharp knife cut the dough in 2 inch pieces and place in pan with cut side up.
    Let stand 20 minutes.
    Cook at 425\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
    Remove at once, upside-down.
