Midnight Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 1/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. hot water
1/2 c. cocoa
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cream sugar and shortening.
Blend in well beaten eggs. Combine hot water and cocoa.
Combine dry ingredients.
Add alternately to sugar mixture.
Add vanilla.
Pour into two greased and floured pans.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 minutes.
