Apple Strudel - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. flour
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. margarine, melted
    2 eggs, beaten
    6 to 8 apples, pared and sliced thick
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    confectioners sugar
    water
    2 drops almond extract
Preparation
    Combine first 5 ingredients in a bowl.
    Mix well with hands; make a ball and chill.
    Spread 3/4 of dough on a greased 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1-inch pan.
    Arrange sliced apples on dough; sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon mixture.
    Roll remaining dough; cut in strips and arrange in crisscross across apples.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes.
