Sour Cream Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 egg
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. sour cream
    2 1/4 c. flour
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add vanilla and egg; mix well.
    Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with sour cream.
    Drop by teaspoonfuls.
    Dip bottom of glass in water, then in sugar; press top of each cookie to flatten.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 about 5 to 8 minutes or until delicately browned.
    Makes about 3 dozen.
