Stuffed Green Peppers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 large green bell peppers
    1 lb. ground beef
    1/2 c. onion, chopped
    3 medium tomatoes, peeled and chopped
    2 c. cooked rice
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. basil, crushed
    1/4 c. chopped green pepper
    dash of pepper
    3/4 c. soft bread crumbs
    1 Tbsp. melted butter or margarine
Preparation
    Cut top out of the bell peppers and take seeds out; set aside.
    Boil for 5 minutes in salty water.
    Cook ground beef, onions and pepper until ground beef is brown and onions tender. Add chopped tomatoes; simmer for about 4 minutes or until tomatoes are cooked.
    Drain off liquid.
    Stir in rice, salt, basil and pepper.
    Stuff peppers with the meat mixture.
    Place in 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
    Toss together bread crumbs and melted butter. Sprinkle on top of peppers.
    Cook in 350\u00b0 oven.
    Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until done.
