Lentil(Soup) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. lentils (wash and remove the debris)
    1 large chopped onion
    2 or 3 stems chopped celery
    2 chopped carrots
    some pepper for taste
    a couple Tbsp. olive oil
    2 large cloves garlic (pressed)
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 tsp. sugar
Preparation
    Place all ingredients in a suitable size pot with enough water to make a soup thickness to one's liking.
    Cook at medium heat (about 1 1/2 hours or until done).
