Ingredients

1 c. butter, softened (no substitutes)
1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
2 egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. soda
sugar
Preparation

In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar.
Beat in egg whites and vanilla.
Combine flour, baking powder and soda; gradually add to the creamed mixture.
Chill.
Roll into 1/2 inch balls, then roll in sugar.
Place on baking sheet, flatten with fork or fancy glass bottom.
Bake at 350\u00b0 until lightly brown.
