Pass Me More Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 qt. peeled and diced cucumbers
    4 large diced onions
    2 large peppers (red, bell)
    2 large peppers (green, bell)
    2 Tbsp. salt
    5 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. celery seed
    1 qt. vinegar
    2 tsp. turmeric
Preparation
    Cook all ingredients in galvanized pan or kettle until tender and transparent.
    Thicken, if desired.
    Turn off heat.
    Pack in jars and seal.
    Do not need to process.
    Just be sure jars are clean and hot.
    Makes 5 to 7 quarts.
