Beef Rice Skillet - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 c. rice
    2 1/2 c. water
    2 tsp. salt
    1 c. chopped onion
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
    1 can tomato sauce
    1 tsp. chili powder
Preparation
    Brown beef in 10-inch skillet; drain.
    Stir in rice, water, salt and onion.
    Bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat; cover and cook on low heat until water is absorbed, 25 minutes.
    Stir in cheese until it softens.
    Combine tomato sauce and chili powder.
    Pour over rice mixture.
    Cover and heat 5 minutes, until hot.
    Makes 4 to 6 servings.
