Cooked White Icing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. milk
    1/4 c. flour
    dash of salt
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    1/2 c. Crisco
    1 stick oleo
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cook milk, flour and salt until thick (like gravy).
    Stir while cooling.
    Cream sugar, shortening, oleo and vanilla; then beat until turns snow white.
    Add cooked and cooled mixture and beat.
    Cannot overbeat.
    Nice fluffy icing.
    Goes with Red Velvet Cake.
    I use on angel food cake.
    Holds good.
