7 Layer Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 head lettuce
1/2 c. sliced onion
1 c. thinly sliced celery
1 can sliced water chestnuts
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas
2 c. mayonnaise
2 tsp. sugar
1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
3 hard-boiled eggs, chopped
1/2 c. bacon, crumbled
Preparation

Chop lettuce and place in 4-quart shallow bowl.
Top with onion, celery and water chestnuts.
Open the package of peas and break apart; sprinkle over the salad.
Spread mayonnaise evenly over top.
Sprinkle with sugar, cheese, salt and garlic powder. Cover and chill up to 24 hours.
Just before serving, sprinkle with eggs and bacon.
Will keep for days.
