Crunchies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. (1 stick) Parkay margarine
3/4 c. packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. crisp rice cereal
Preparation

Lightly grease cookie sheets with shortening. Cream margarine and sugar in large mixing bowl until light and fluffy. Blend in egg and vanilla. Combine flour, baking powder and salt in small mixing bowl; mix well. Add to large mixing bowl and mix well. Stir in cereal. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto cookie sheet, about 2 inches apart. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown. Using pancake turner, place cookies on wire cooling rack. Cool cookies completely before starting, so they will stay crisp. Makes 3 1/2 dozen.
