Creole Sauce With Ziti - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. thinly sliced onion
    4 tsp. olive oil or salad oil
    bay leaf
    2 1/2 c. canned tomatoes
    1 green pepper, chopped
    2 whole cloves
    1 tsp. granulated sugar
    2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    4 tsp. flour
    2 c. water
    1 lb. Prince Ziti
    Prince Romano grated cheese
Preparation
    Saute onions in oil until
    soft; do not brown.
    Add bay leaf, tomatoes, pepper, cloves and sugar.
    Cover and simmer 30 minutes; stir flour and water.
    Remove bay leaf and cloves and cook
    5 minutes more.
    Pour
    over
    cooked
    Ziti.
    Serve
    with grated cheese.
    Makes 4 to 6 servings.
