Tangy Lemon Sauce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/8 tsp. salt
1 c. water
2 tsp. grated lemon rind
1/3 c. lemon juice
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
Preparation

Combine sugar, cornstarch, salt and water in a small saucepan, stirring until smooth.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is smooth and thickened.
Add lemon rind, lemon juice and butter; cook until thoroughly melted.
Serve sauce warm over cake, fruit or ice cream.
Yields 1 3/4 cups.
