Ingredients

1 tsp. butter
small amount sugar
1 pt. figs, halved
4 large eggs
1 1/2 c. milk
1 c. cream
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. flour
dash of salt
Preparation

Use butter and small amount of sugar to coat 10-inch glass pie plate or 2-quart baking dish.
Arrange figs, cut side up, on bottom.
Beat eggs in large bowl with whisk until foamy.
Add vanilla, milk, cream, 1/4 cup sugar and salt.
Stir until blended. Add flour; stir until blended.
Pour over figs.
Bake until puffed and brown, for 35 minutes at 375\u00b0.
Sprinkle with sugar.
