1 Tbsp. Balsamic vinegar (best brand is Monari, under $4 in Italian deli)
2 Tbsp. olive oil
1 scant tsp. Dijon mustard (Maille is good)
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 or more tsp. fresh ginger, grated
1 or 2 tsp. Tamari (light soy) sauce
