Donald'S Chicken Pot Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. onion, chopped
    1 c. celery, chopped
    1 c. carrots, chopped
    1/3 c. margarine
    1/2 c. plain flour
    2 c. chicken broth
    1 c. evaporated milk
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    4 c. cooked chicken, chopped
Preparation
    Saute onion, celery and carrots in butter for 10 minutes.
    Add flour to sauteed mixture, stirring well.
    Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly.
    Combine broth and milk; gradually stir into vegetable mixture.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened and bubbly.
    Stir in salt and pepper.
    Add chopped chicken, stirring well.
    Pour chicken mixture into a shallow 2-quart casserole.
    Top with pastry and cut slits for steam.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
