Cabbage Salad(Marinated To Freeze) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium-large head cabbage
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. water
    1 c. white vinegar
    1 tsp. mustard seed
    2 scant c. sugar
    1 tsp. celery seed
    3 stalks celery
    1 carrot
    1 onion
    1/2 green pepper
Preparation
    Chop cabbage; sprinkle with salt.
    Mix and let stand for 1 hour.
    Combine water, vinegar, mustard seed, sugar and celery seed and boil 1 minute.
    Cool.
    (May be done the day before.)
    Chop celery, carrot, onion and pepper and add to cabbage.
    Stir cool liquid into all.
    Pack into containers if you wish to freeze.
