Marshmallow Meringue - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 lb. fresh marshmallows
    1 Tbsp. milk
    1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
    2 egg whites
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. sugar
Preparation
    Covers 9 or 10-inch pie.
    Heat slowly the marshmallows and milk, folding over and over until marshmallows are about half the original size.
    Remove from heat.
    Add vanilla; continue folding until mixture is light and spongy.
    Beat egg whites stiff.
    Add salt.
    Gradually add sugar, beating constantly.
    Fold in slightly warm marshmallow mixture.
    Pile on pie, joining edges to crust. Place top of pie 3 inches from broiler unit (or flame) for 30 seconds or delicate brown.
    Watch it!!
    Don't let this good stuff burn.
