Squeaky Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can drained French-style green beans
    1/2 c. vinegar
    1/2 c. sugar
    4 to 5 pieces bacon
Preparation
    Fry bacon; save grease from bacon.
    Put drained beans, vinegar, sugar and crumbled bacon along with 2 to 3 tablespoons of grease in pan.
    Cook with lid for 20 minutes; then remove lid and cook down until juice is syrup and almost gone.
    Beans will turn dark.
    Syrup should not be cooked all the way out.
